Something Fishy!!

A few Sundays ago, Pepere loaded up the minivan with fishing equipment and we were off to Independence Grove for a bit of fishing! We were all a bit unsure of how this adventure would turn out - I mean four young children and a fishing pole with a hook could equal disaster! Fortunately the kids all loved the idea of fishing so they fully cooperated! Pepe and Danny put the worm on the hooks and then Pepe cast the line. We gave each child an opportunity to hold the pole while they waited for a fish to bite! Luckily they were all successful and we caught some bluegill and some other small fish. We opted for the catch and release strategy, which I was thankful for. I’m not a fish eating girl, so watching the process of creating a meal out of a little fish would not be too pleasant!

Everyone took a turn!!

I’m sure there will be plenty of opportunities for the kids to fish in the near future as that is one of Danny’s favorite hobbies!

Relaxing with my babies!!
After a tough 30 minutes of fishing, snow cones were necessary - thanks Uncle Mike!!
