Loving Legoland

At least it was a big hit with the kids, I'm still on the fence as to whether it was worth the cost of admission!!  On Monday Danny and I took the kids to the Legoland Discovery Center in Schaumburg.  It opened last year right before we left for China, so we never had a chance to visit.  Eens loves Legos so much, so we thought it would be fun to take him to explore despite mixed reviews from friends!

When you first arrive, there is a huge Lego display of Chicago which was very cool and impressive!  Eens even found a little Batman on top of the Sears (or whatever it is now called!) tower!!
After looking at that, you go through a jungle expedition which was geared towards children who can read.  There were also some fun Lego animals for the boys to look at!

After that the we did the two rides that were there and then Eensie made a little racing car that broke his heart when it fell apart going down the track!!

We had fun during the 1 1/2 hours we were there, but I don't know if we had to pay full price if I would have been really happy!!  The price for adults was $19.00 and the kids price was $15.00.  Luckily we had coupons for the kids to go free, or else I probably would have been a little disappointed!  But, this is the only Lego Discovery Center in Chicago and by the looks of it, there is a demand for it, so they can charge the higher prices.  Plus, everything in Chicago is a bit on the expensive side!!

I totally agree with you. It is not worth the price. We had coupons too luckily. Driving by Des Plaines anytime soon?
