A Walk in the Park

We started enjoying our spring break on Wednesday with a visit to the People's Park in Tianjin. It is a lovely park in the middle of the city, perfect for a little sightseeing and playing for the kids. Unfortunately, they are in the middle of renovating the park at the moment, so we didn't get to enjoy the full charm of all the builidings! The kids didn't care, they loved climbing the rocks looking at the pagoda, watching the birds and ducks, playing on a very rusty play structure (that I had to pay about $3), and watching the monkeys (thankfully they were caged!!)! The whole experience was made more enjoyable with our dear friends!!
Here are some of the views of the park...

This is some of the renovation in progress...each of these rounded tiles is used on the roof and then covered with cement (of course!). What a time consuming process. And this is the end result!!

I love little walks in the park!!
