That’s what we always have on our annual trip to the Dells! After a completely exhausting wedding weekend we gave ourselves a few days to recover and then we headed off to Wisconsin Dells with Danny’s family! We drove through a tornado warning that we had no idea existed until we arrived and found all of the outdoor pools and slides closed for the day! Thankfully the management at the Wilderness are innovative and prepared for uncooperative weather conditions, so they have three indoor water parks located throughout the resort!!
This is the first year that Danny could actually sit down if he wanted to because the boys were in heaven playing on the gigantic play equipment for young children!! Eensie even shocked us and went down some smaller water slides - without a life jacket (only because they weren’t allowed!)! This was a huge accomplishment for him! But, in all fairness, he does have to attempt to keep up with his younger brother who insisted on going on every water slide he was tall enough for!! El was, of course, our little fish. She loves the water slides, which I love because I could go down them all day! I’m thankful I can at least drag her and Coop up and pretend that they are forcing me down them over and over!!
I got a real kick out of watching Eens, Coop, and our nephew Matthew play together. They are 4, 5, and 6 and for the most part they play really nicely! The bonds that children form are so pure and innocent. We only see Matthew about a week or two out of an entire year, but when they get together they just pick right back up where they left off. Our kids are incredibly blessed to have such loving and fun cousins!!
We had a wonderful time relaxing, eating and playing!!
